Effie’s POV:
I wake up in the morning at 8 o’clock sharp. I sit up in my bed and look at my silky pink nightgown that I’m wearing. My long blonde hair is a mess. I remember something about last night at the celebration party. I was dancing with a man about my age will blonde shaggy hair and he kept saying sweetheart to be me all night. I kissed him while we were slow dancing. I realize something disturbing…. It was Haymitch!
I hear a knock on my door and walk downstairs to answer it, ladies never run. I fix my hair on the way down and then open the door.
“Oh, Hello Haymitch….” I say to him nervously.
“Hello princess,” I can tell he is not drunk. “Wow, you look…..wow.”
Ugh, he’s disgusting! My nightgown only goes just above my knees, he’s looking at my legs.
“Can you not be disgusting for one day?!”I say to him angrily.
“It depends on if you’re going be in that dress all day or in one of your monkey suits.” He grins. “Sorry, but I wanted to apologize for last night.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I lie badly. “ I was a perfect lady. Like always.”
“Actually, you were not a lady last night, sweetheart.” He says a-matter-a-factly. “You had to much to drink and you were all over me all night. You kissed me and I didn’t exactually fend it off…” He laughs
Is he flirting with me? Does he like me? If he does, why do I care? Never mind.
“Oh, um, I should be sorry,” I say. “I was drunk, but were you drunk?”
“Actually, no princess, I wasn’t.” He looks into my eyes.
Suddenly he kisses me and has his arms wrapped around me. My hand go to his head and entangle In his blonde hair. His lips are surprisingly soft, his hair is soft as well. He took a shower? Wow…..
I actually like kissing him…..
